I am a new and upcoming business owner in Cincinnati and I have been attending networking events, getting to know new people and really growing my network. Lately, I have been coming across a young lady that seems to be copying everything I do. It’s disturbing and really starting to discourage me from even communicating with other women in my industry. Is this something you have dealt with in the past and if so, how did you handle it?

So here’s the thing, I have been through what you are experiencing and the reality is, you are just inspiring someone else but being yourself. This kind of thing happens all the time, but you cannot allow it to deter you from walking in your purpose and doing what you love to do. I suggest you change your mindset and understand that while others may be inspired to do what you do, you are an original. I want you to keep showing up as your authentic self in all the spaces you deem important and continue networking and building your profile. There are a ton of different designers, event planners, hosts, estheticians, or whatever you are doing and the reality is there is enough money and success out here for us all! The best thing you can do for your business is focus on yourself and what you are doing to elevate and to continue being you because no one else can be you, but you! I hope this helps!
