I am a very confident woman, I always have been. I am a firm believer that my body is my temple and I do my very best to take care of it. I love my curves and I embrace every part of me. I am in a relationship with a man that is pretty amazing and perfect for me. He is fully aware of this confidence and says it is one of the things he loves about me the most. He has loved it, right up until about a month ago when I created an onlyfans account. I don’t engage in anything with anyone, I just show a little more of my body off than he would like for me to show. I honestly didn’t think he would be so bothered by this. I used to take burlesque shoots all the time and it never bothered him, and I honestly didn’t think this would be any different. Clearly I was wrong. He has asked me to shut the page down and I don’t want to, but I don't want this to be the start to the downfall of our relationship. Would I be compromising myself for the sake of a man or do you think this is a pretty reasonable request?

So here’s the thing, every relationship comes with compromises and the reality is as relationships flourish people grow and evolve. He may very well love your body and love your confidence. This doesn’t mean that he wants your best physical assets on display for everyone to see. You have two choices; you can see where he’s coming from and compromise with him or you can dismiss his feelings altogether and do what you want to do for you. If you choose the latter option, understand that this could result in him accepting that decision and looking at your relationship in a different light. Remember, you both are growing and evolving and you both are allowed to change your mind and change your expectations. The only way your relationship can prosper through the growth and changes is to communicate with one another and allow yourselves to be vulnerable enough to always remember you’re on each other’s side.
